Tattvas
Tattva – “thatness” (also “principle”, “the real”, “archetype”, “categories”) The term generally signifies fundamental constituents of the universe.
In the Trika doctrine, the tattvas are evolutes of Sakti. Each ‘higher’ tattva pervades and permeates the successive ones, and equally, each ‘lower’ tattva implies those which are ‘above’ it.
He (Siva) Himself, full of joy, enhanced by the honey of the three corners of his heart – Iccha, Jnana, Kriya – raising up His face to gaze at (His own splendour) is called Sakti.
